Noël

Good evening everyone, and Merry Christmas! It's a frosty day outside, so sitting by the fire watching Christmas films is my favourite way to spend the festive day. Whilst sat by the fire, I thought I'd quickly share a festive inspired post with you all whilst you're enjoying your own Christmas day.

Christmas Wish List

Good evening everyone! I'm currently sat in a coffee shop in my home town of Liverpool after recently returning here for Christmas break. With Christmas just around the corner, I'm super excited to celebrate the festive occasion and relax indoors with movies and mulled wine. As Christmas day is the perfect time to relax, I thought I'd share some of my favourite Boux Avenue products with you all which are perfect gifts and treats for the holiday.

Upon travelling to work via the underground this morning, I came across a sight which stayed in my mind for the rest of the day. I took a seat on a rather empty carriage to find myself facing three females. They progressed in age from left to right: firstly, a child of about ten years, then an middle aged woman (likely her mother), and then an elderly woman sat alone. The elderly woman was reading British Vogue. My eyes were initially drawn to her due to this magazine that she held in her hands. I instantly recognised it as I'd read it myself just a day before, so I was aware of the article that she was intently reading. It was an interview between Sarah Harris, Vogue's fashion features director, and Maria Grazia Chiuri, Dior's latest revolutionary creative director.

What to Wear: Autumn/Winter 16

Happy Saturday everyone! With Autumn well and truly established and temperatures quickly dropping, it's time for our wardrobes to change. In today's post, I'm going to be talking to you about the hottest runway trends established in AW16 collections earlier this year, and how to try them out for yourself with the help of some superb high street brands, in particular ESPRIT. For my own personal style, when the new season arrives, I'll often take inspiration from magazine editorials, and then find the best equivalents at affordable prices. When searching amongst the hottest editorials across international titles, I discovered multiple reigning trend motifs apparent for this season. Want to know how to channel these trendy motifs? Keep on reading!

Happy Tuesday everyone! The winter weather has finally hit London; I'm currently sat in a coffee shop in Covent Garden escaping the ice cold temperature as I wait for my next lecture. A change in season means a change in outfits, so I'm looking forward to sharing this first winter look of the year with you all!

One

Good evening everyone! I was looking through all of my blog posts this week and realised that today marks a year since I uploaded my first post! So today's the day to celebrate what has truly been an amazing year for me!

Archive By Alexa: Season 2

Good evening everyone, and Happy Halloween! I had so much fun celebrating the occasion over the weekend, and spending hours creating the coolest make up looks! But turning my attention to the focus of this post: Archive by Alexa. Back in April, I published a post on Alexa's collection with Marks & Spencer, which is one of my most popular and most read posts to date! So I'm back with a new post in celebration of her new collection.

October Favourites

Happy Thursday everyone! I can't believe October is drawing to a close already. On Monday I celebrated my 20th Birthday, which was also unbelievable; saying goodbye to the teenage years was strange! For today's post, I'll be reviewing my favourite products of the month which are all currently available from the beautiful brand Boux Avenue.

How to be Parisian

How does one define Parisian style? Simple? Tailored? Effortless? Desaturated? Regardless of which specific definition, any of the above descriptions are like music to my ears. My recent trip to Paris coincided with Fashion Week, and whilst my main priority was to be shooting street style and model portraits, I wanted to fit in with those clear Parisian street style stars who were encompassed in style and individuality.

Back to Uni with Boux

Good afternoon everyone! Today's blog post is an announcement that I'm super excited to make to you all: for the next year, I am going to be a student brand ambassador for leading lingerie store Boux Avenue! I'll be posting reviews of my favourite products each month, and in this post I'll be sharing my exclusive discount code which will give you 20% off!

The Street Style Debate: A Response to US Vogue

This morning I woke up and opened Instagram, as I do every other day. Though today, my feed was flooded by opposing argumentative responses to a US Vogue article. Noticing that these responses were strongly defending the role of both bloggers and street style photographers, I instantly took to finding the piece online. What I read from US Vogue was both saddening and disappointing.

The Face of Today: LFW Edition

Ahh, London Fashion Week is over! I had the most incredible time shooting street style throughout the week, and I'm so excited to share my photographs with you all! I'll be sharing my street style photography this weekend, but for this post, I'll be presenting my favourite type of photographs: model portraits.

Sky High

Good afternoon from London! It's thirty degrees and I feel as though I'm back in Greece as opposed to England's capital. It's safe to say that we're experiencing an Indian Summer! But for today I'll be focusing on a look I recently styled, which is more fitting to a traditional autumnal season!

Flare

September is finally here! I say 'finally' because I'm so ready for autumn and winter outfits to re-emerge in my everyday looks! I feel like everyone conforms to the stereotypical outfits throughout the summer season (bright colours, floral prints, and the general bohemian trend, to name a few types). This can be great, as it is summer after all, but I tend to go along the simplicity route instead. For much of the time, I'm less inclined to dress according to the season during summer, but from autumn, this changes completely. The beginning of September means the beginning of my favourite trends in fashion.

Tommy

Is anyone else in love with street style photography? Over the past year, I've became so engrossed in it and have massively enjoyed participating in the action throughout both London and Paris Fashion Week. I have long admired its ability to inspire and influence my own fashion taste, due to its focus on the most stunning fashionistas on the planet. In February, during New York Fashion Week, I came across street style photographs of best-friend-duo Caroline Vreeland and Shea Marie, looking effortlessly stylish as per usual. As soon as I laid eyes on their statement crop tops, I was obsessed!

Statement

Happy Friday everyone! I apologise for not posting for a few weeks; I've been pretty busy! But I'm back now with a new post, and plan to post much more in the coming weeks. The weather in England has been surprisingly lovely over the past week, aligning perfectly with the summer month of August. I made the most of the sunny weather by having this week's photographs taken with the help of natural bright lighting, complimenting the heavily saturated graffiti backdrop.

Stealin' Street Style

Street Style: a show which is now equally as popular as those occurring on the runway. Street style serves as a form of endless inspiration for each of us; there's nothing I love more than admiring the bold looks gracing the streets of London during fashion week, from which I take great influence. Thankfully, we are surrounded by both shops and online boutiques which faithfully match those naturally snapped outfits which we dream of, due to their effortlessness and clear style. In this weeks post, I'm going to be talking about my top street style trends from fashion week this year, and how you can re-create these looks with items from a superb store: ESPRIT.

Simplicity

Happy Friday everyone! Today I'm re-visiting Santorini through a post I planned whilst on my trip. Looking back at these photographs is making me miss this beautiful island so much! However, I still have a few outfit posts lined up from Santorini, so I guess I can keep re-visiting the stunning location through blogging!

Miracle Aligners

Imagine you're standing in an outdoor venue, anxiously waiting for two of your favourite musicians to walk on stage and perform a setlist of effortlessly cool, witty songs. Then they walk on, accompanied by none other than Johnny Marr, iconic guitarist of The Smiths, and open their gig with Last Night I Dreamt Somebody Loved Me. I was fortunate enough to witness this as I travelled to Manchester's Castlefield Bowl to see The Last Shadow Puppets perform on Sunday night.

La Photographie à Paris

Hello everyone! My trip to Santorini was simply wonderful; I didn't want to come home! Fortunately, I've still got a few posts lined up from my trip, so I'll be uploading them throughout the next week or two! Thankfully, I didn't have much time for holiday blues, as I jetted off to Paris on Monday for a short break with my friends!

#BeachDayMusts with Adore Me

Good afternoon everyone! Today's post is in collaboration with Adore Me, and I'm going to be sharing my Beach Day Musts with you. It's that time of year again where many of us are jetting off to sunny locations for a summer holiday. If you're going on a beach holiday in particular, there are many essentials that you'll need for the beach in order to have fun, but also keep safe. Adore Me have therefore asked me to share my absolute musts for a day at the beach. Check them out below:

Little Black Dress

Good morning from Santorini! It's a beautiful day here as always, and I'm currently sat sunbathing and admiring the picturesque view from my hotel. I've been on this stunning Greek Island for almost a week now, and I could happily stay here forever!

Bill Cunningham: An Icon

Bill Cunningham. The name instantly sparks the most pleasant image in ones mind; an individual, charismatic man, riding his bicycle through Manhattan. And in his additional backpack, that essential item which illustrated his artistic projections of society: his 35-milimetre camera. This morning, the world awoke to the news that this legendary photographer had passed away at age 87, and with this news, a sense of great sorrow arose. This is due to the fact that, quite simply, we have lost a true icon to the fashion industry.

Bleu et Blanc

Hello from Santorini! This is my second visit to the iconic Greek Island, and I can easily say that it is as equally, if not more beautiful. Quite simply, I see this place as heaven on earth. It's simplicity makes it so stunning, and the most picturesque place I've ever been to. I'm so happy to be having a long break here, and can't wait to explore all that the exquisite island has to offer!

London Collections: Men

Hi Guys! Today's post is quite short, as it's simply a presentation of my London Collections: Men street style photography. Throughout the week, I spent each day attending some shows and shooting street style, which was, as always, so much fun. Street style photography will always be my favourite kind, as I love how completely natural it is. I enjoyed meeting and photographing many British male fashion figures, from David Gandy, to Oliver Proudlock, to Jim Chapman, to Johannes Huebl. And of course, let's not forget the stunning models! So I hope you guys enjoy the small selection of my photographs that I've chosen to share with you!

Monochrome Gucci

People are initially drawn to Gucci clothing due to its frequent use of bright colour. However, is this its most significant feature? For me, though I respect the colour in Gucci clothing, I respect the brand and fashion house more-so for its fine cuts, professional tailoring, immaculate designs and bold decorations. This is an idea which I am going to explore through the use of my photography. Yesterday afternoon, Alessandro Michele showcased his Cruise 2017 collection for the brand in the cloisters of London's Westminster Abbey.

The Vogue 100 Festival

Situated in the heart of the Kensington Garden and the Royal Geographical Society, this year's Vogue Festival was as grand as ever, and a perfect way of celebrating 100 years of an iconic fashion magazine.

Tailored

Happy Saturday to you all! Today I'm uploading my final look from my trip to Milan, which is long overdue, so I do apologise! I have just finished my first year of University after recently taking exams, so my long summer has finally begun! I'm going to be blogging much more frequently in the next few months, which I'm extremely excited for. I'm travelling to Budapest on Monday for a short break with friends, so my next posts are going to be in the beautiful Hungarian setting! Anyway, onto my final Milan post.

Saturation

Happy Saturday, everyone! Today I'm posting my second Milan look, which was quite a contrast to my typical style; for once, it wasn't dominated by black! In fact, my boots were the only black item that I wore, so I'm definitely expanding my style!

The 'IT' Blouse

Good evening! This is my first blog post after returning from beautiful Milan, which was such a wonderful and stunning city to visit. As one of the fashion capitals of the world, I have long wished to visit the stunning Italian city, and see for myself its aura and charm which is the home of many top fashion houses: from Prada, to Valentino, to Dolce & Gabbana, to Versace. After returning from my short break there, I can easily say that it did not disappoint!

Archive by Alexa

Hello everyone! Today has been a wonderful day, as it has marked the launch of Marks & Spencer's collaboration with Alexa Chung: Archive by Alexa. Alexa Chung has long been a style icon of mine; she incorporates 60s vibes into many of her outfits, and continually adopts a timeless chic and classy look, for which I admire. Following M&S's revelation of the launch event on Oxford Street, I was more than excited to see Alexa unveil the collection herself and hopefully manage to purchase that oh-so-famous Harry Blouse which has been catching everyone's eye from the moment she styled it in the first promo photo for the collection.

The Illustrator

Hello everyone! I apologise for not posting for a couple of weeks, but I've been pretty busy with University and so haven't had much chance to shoot! However, I'm back, and this week with a different yet exciting post about the importance of fashion illustration.

Blue Jeans, White Shirt

I couldn't help but channel massive Lana Del Rey vibes this week as a styled her literal lyrics: 'Blue Jeans' and a 'White Shirt'. In all honesty, I've never owned a pair of blue jeans before; I've always been too scared that I couldn't pull them off! But as culotte shaped trousers are a massive trend at the moment, when stumbling across these culotte blue jeans in zara, I bought them on impulse. I'm so happy that I did; though they are a statement trouser, I think they can be styled really well, especially with monochrome colours!

The City

There's nothing better than admiring London's famous tourist spots, despite the fact that I am now a Londoner! With this stunning setting just a short walk from where I live, I took a trip here today with my friend following Uni. In just one spot, you have an incredible 360 degree view of some of London's most renowned architecture, from the Shard to Tower Bridge to the Gherkin! It is most definitely one of my favourite spots to visit in the city.

Tide

Happy Monday everyone! I'm currently sat on a train after spending the weekend visiting my home city, Liverpool, which was lovely. Now that I live in London, I love coming home and seeing the river Mersey, so I thought I would visit our pier for photographs over the weekend. This weeks look features one of my favourite jackets from Zara which is the statement piece of the outfit. Maroon faux leather - what more could a girl ask for?! Admittedly, it isn't the warmest jacket, but I simply paired with a jumper underneath which was perfect!

Abstract

Hello!! Ahh, my first post after London Fashion Week! I apologise for taking a week to upload, but I was so exhausted after running around for six days straight! But I'll be posting regularly now, starting today! Today's outfit was dominated by Zara purchases (what a surprise). My friend and I spent the day in two of our favourite places in London: Shoreditch and Camden. There was so much cool street art that it would have been a wasted opportunity to not take equally cool photos!! I'm really happy with how these pictures turned out, especially as the abstract wall art juxtaposes my entirely monochrome outfit.

LFW Day 5

After five busy yet incredible days, London Fashion Week has come to an end. I've honestly had one of the best experiences of my life over the past week; not only have I had the opportunity to watch several shows and be the first to see new collections, but I've also been able to take photographs of amazing street style, some of which was on celebrities.

Yesterday I was able to see the final show of LFW, Xiao Li, which was a stunning collection of oversized, simple and structured clothing. I loved everything about it; in particular the representation of time through the detail on the clothes, from clocks, to dials, to numbers. It was a perfect way to end an amazing week.

So here are my final photographs from Day 5 of LFW. I also had the opportunity to take photos of Lou Teasdale and Lottie Tomlinson after the Ashley Williams show, who I love! Their outfits are always so cool and quirky, and so I love this first photograph I shot of them together.

I'm attending London Fashion Weekend on Sunday so I'll definitely be shooting some street style there, too! I hope you enjoy looking at the final LFW photographs as much as I did taking them!
