Statement

Happy Friday everyone! I apologise for not posting for a few weeks; I've been pretty busy! But I'm back now with a new post, and plan to post much more in the coming weeks. The weather in England has been surprisingly lovely over the past week, aligning perfectly with the summer month of August. I made the most of the sunny weather by having this week's photographs taken with the help of natural bright lighting, complimenting the heavily saturated graffiti backdrop.

What I love about the photographs below is the crazy cartoonesque style given by the abstract graffiti. With a bright, colourful backdrop, I felt it best to style a simplistic outfit (once again).  Zara's TRF clothing section is my favourite place to shop for simple, statement pieces. I bought this top a few weeks ago which I love due to its simplicity but sharp statement, shiny transfer. With a bold statement written across the top, I kept the rest of my outfit simple, with black cigarette trousers, pointy shoes, and a thin choker. Once again, I was keeping to my all time favourite monochrome trend. Why not!

Today's post also features my new haircut! I've been wanting to have a fringe cut into my hair for awhile now, and finally decided to do it! Taking inspiration from Jane Birkin, Caroline de Maigret, and more recently, one of my favourite bloggers Kristina Bazan, I love the fact that it's quite a different and uncommon hairstyle, yet is perceived as both stylish and timeless. It's still quite a change to adopt to, but I absolutely love it! I'm looking forward to styling it in many different ways for my future posts.
