Tailored

Happy Saturday to you all! Today I'm uploading my final look from my trip to Milan, which is long overdue, so I do apologise! I have just finished my first year of University after recently taking exams, so my long summer has finally begun! I'm going to be blogging much more frequently in the next few months, which I'm extremely excited for. I'm travelling to Budapest on Monday for a short break with friends, so my next posts are going to be in the beautiful Hungarian setting! Anyway, onto my final Milan post.

My final day in Milan consisted of shopping and exploring Milan's best contemporary galleries. Since moving to London, my interest in contemporary art and installations has most definitely increased, and so I researched the best galleries to visit in Milan, as I was sure it would have a lot to offer. Unsurprisingly, those that I found and visited were incredible. My family and I visited the Museo del Novecento, as well as Fondazione Prada. Museo del Novecento was quite intimidating at first, as, contrary to the small-looking exterior, its inside was huge! The art work on display was incredibly interesting, and the layout of the museum closely resembled New York's Guggenheim. Best of all, there was a mesmerising viewpoint of Milan's iconic Duomo Square, showing the beautiful cathedral and Galleria Vittorio shopping mall. Although Fondazione Prada is located in Milan's industrial zone a few miles from the centre, it is definitely worth a visit. Imagine a futuristic, dystopian world, and there you have Fondazione Prada. Yet in the middle of this city-like complex is Bar Luce, designed by Wes Anderson. I could have happily sat there all day, as I felt like I was dining in the Grand Budapest Hotel. Such a great experience. I would highly recommend both museums if you ever visit Milan; not only do they offer interesting pieces of art to see, but they're both visually stunning, and great for an arty Instagram post if you're an Insta-addict like me!

Another place my parents and I visited on our final day was 10 Corso Como, Milan's renowned department store. It's honestly unlike any other department store I've visited; it projected a subtly stylish aura and played host to tasteful high fashion brands, a stylish bar, and a rooftop terrace, to name a few things! Basically every aspect of coolness encompassed under one roof. I also enjoyed seeing Gufram's Pop Art Design space there, which was so much fun. So thanks, 10 Corso Como!

On this day in Milan I wore simply monochrome clothing - what a surprise! I bought these trousers in & Other Stories a few weeks ago, and though they are quite dressy, I wore them as a day piece anyway. I was in one of the world's fashion capitals, so why not?! I paired them with simply a white tee and meshed body suit, as well as simple pointed sandals. The femininity of the bodysuit contrasted the masculine tailored trouser I was wearing, so I was happy with the blend of clothing!

Let me know what you think of the outfit and photographs in the comments box below! I'll hopefully be uploading live from Budapest in a few days, and next weekend I'm attending the Vogue Festival in Kensington, which I'm unbelievable excited for - I'm going to be shooting as much street style there as possible!

I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.
